Shorlisted for the Hammond House International Literary Prize 2023, Back & Fourth is my first attempt at scriptwriting. It’s a ten-minute play set in a chiropractor’s office with two characters: the chiropractor and his patient, a writer.
It was actually a byproduct of a bit of research I was doing for another project. Initially, I thought it would make a great monologue, but I had to give the second character a voice too. I’d describe it as a dark comedy for adult audiences.
